Trampolines and Nap Time

Those of you who have Children of your own know the value of a worn out child when it is nap time. I do not mean the over tired, no they're going to throw a fit tired, I mean a wholesome post running tired that causes a great quiet in the home at nap time.

My friend Tom's kids are old enough to no longer jump on a trampoline. I don't know how old that is, I still love 'em, but anyway. He gave us their trampoline. Its got a safety net, for all of you that thought this was about to be our second trip to teh emergency room, and is in good condition. Ask me to tell you the funny 'moving the tramp' story.

Anyway, Erinae (now 2) can say trampoline, and her eyes dance to say it. They love it. And it's helping nap-time too!

Thanks Tom

Multi child families

Erinae is doing well. The stiches are gone and the smile is beautiful.

A few nights ago I needed to run to the grocery to pick up 2 things. As I was about to leave I offered to my daughter Grace to come along. You would have thought she wonthe lottery. She was excited and important. She came with joy and we bought our items.

Dads, let me say that our role is enormous. Daddy's car is one of the dozen phrases my almost 2 year can say. there is an excitement in a child that I can not understand, and marvel at constantly.

Listen to the wise man: Proverbs 17:6 (ESV)
Grandchildren are the crown of the aged,
and the glory of children is their fathers.

Ever notice how grandparents act towards their children's children? The crown of the aged indeed!

But the glory of children. Wow. Who can fulfill so high a call? Lord have mercy.
